Mindy Wilson

A native of Kansas City and graduate of The Pembroke Hill School, Mindy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tufts University and a Master in Education, with an emphasis in English, from Boston College. While in New York City, was a non-fiction book editor for Random House. Upon returning to Kansas City in 2000, she worked for local publishing house, Andrews McMeel, in their gift book division.

With a slight shift in focus, Mindy directed her attention, energy and writing talents to the nonprofit sector. She completed an internship at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation where she assisted organizations with their DonorEdge® profiles, including conducting interviews, analyzing financial data and reviewing agency programming. To hone her grantwriting skills, Mindy attended the nationally recognized Grantsmanship Center. Most recently, she worked for the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) as a grantwriter/special projects coordinator, where she developed and authored grant proposals, edited the agency newsletter and other communications pieces. 

Mindy has always loved calling Kansas City “home.” She is a dedicated volunteer and serves on many nonprofit committees and boards.
